Park Lane School is a Special school for pupils with severe or profound and multiple learning difficulties. Some of our pupils also have a diagnosis of Autism.
Park Lane School is situated on the Macclesfield Learning Zone alongside Macclesfield College and Macclesfield High School
The school staff and governors are committed to providing high quality education and care to ensure that our pupils are encouraged, supported and given every opportunity to achieve their full potential.
We value and support the achievements of all our pupils and commend them in their determination to achieve all that they can
We are currently aiming to build a new light sensory room in school.
A sensory room is used to support our students’ education, communication, physical and emotional wellbeing. This can happen in many ways: through special sound and visual effects, tactile experiences, vibration, use of aromas and music – in many combinations and variations. In a sensory room pupils can interact with and control all the elements. It gives people control, possibly for the first time in their lives. It enables people with any degree of disability to change and influence their environment in a positive way.
We are looking to raise £20,000 to spend on equipment to equip our room
